Libon is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Albay, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 68,846 people in 12,572 households. Libon is known regionally as the “Rice Granary of Albay”. Mrs. Agnes “Bem” Perez Dycoco has served as town mayor since 2004. The vice mayor (also since 2004) is the Honorable Domingo “Jun” F. Sazon, Jr., who also presides over the Sangguniang Bayan.
